Frequently asked questions

Why can't I see the result before I answer?

Because that is the rule: no answer, no insights. It keeps every result honest, since nobody can read the room without standing in it. The app's server enforces it, not just the screen.

Can I change my vote?

Yes. Open the poll, tap the menu and remove your vote, then answer again. The count updates and never double-counts.

Does it work offline?

Your answers queue and send when you are back online.

What do the filters do?

They split the result by gender, age bracket, country or continent, and they stack. Each slice shows how many people it contains, so a narrow slice reads as what it is.

Are the results accurate?

They are an accurate count of the people who answered, each counted once, never weighted or promoted. They are not a representative survey; the count is shown so you can judge it.

How many options can a poll have?

Two to five for multiple choice and ranking. Yes/no is exactly two.

Do I have to pick a category?

Yes, one of fourteen. Its colour runs through the card and the result. More categories are on the way.

Who can see that I asked a question?

Everyone who sees the poll: your username is on it. Your answers to other people's polls are only ever counted into totals.

Is there a limit to how many polls I can ask?

There are rate limits to keep the feed honest. Normal use never reaches them.

What is the difference between Following and Explore?

Following shows the people you follow, newest first. Explore surfaces polls people are actively answering. Neither one touches the numbers inside a poll.

Can I browse without an account?

Yes, Explore is open to guests. Answering, and seeing results, needs a free account, because every answer is counted once.

Who can I compare answers with?

Anyone you follow who has answered the same poll. On ranking polls you also get an agreement score.

Is Peopoll anonymous?

Your name goes on the questions you ask, not on your answers inside a result. Results are totals, never a list of who voted. The person who asked is notified by username when someone answers, and your Answered tab is public unless you hide it or make your account private.

Can I hide what I have answered?

Yes, from Settings, and you can make your whole account private. Blocking and reporting are one tap away on every poll and profile.

How old do you have to be?

16 or older. The app checks at sign-up.

What happens when I report something?

Reports are read by people. Content that breaks the rules comes down, and repeat offenders lose their account.

Which sign-ins are supported?

Email, Google and Apple.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete. It takes effect immediately. There is also a web form on the Delete account page if you cannot open the app.

What data does Peopoll keep?

An account so you are counted once, and a gender, age bracket and country so the splits work. The Privacy Policy lists everything in plain language. None of it is sold.

A shared link opened the website instead of the poll.

Install the app, then open the link again; it takes you straight to that poll. On desktop, the same link opens the poll in the web app.

My vote did not go through.

If you were offline it is queued and sends when you reconnect. If you were online, pull to refresh; if the poll still shows no vote, answer again. Nothing double-counts.
