Delete Your Account

1. Delete Your Account in the App

The fastest way to delete your account is from inside Peopoll:

• Open the Peopoll app and sign in.
• Go to Settings.
• Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Deletion takes effect immediately. Your account and the data listed in section 4 are removed from our active systems as part of that request, and the action cannot be undone.

2. Request Deletion Without the App

If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in, you can request deletion by email:

• Email support@forthepeopoll.com from the email address on the account.
• Include your Peopoll username so we can identify the account.
• Use the subject line “Account deletion request”.

We verify that the request comes from the account owner before deleting anything. We aim to respond to all requests within 30 days.

3. Delete Specific Data Without Closing Your Account

You do not have to delete your account to remove individual pieces of data. From inside the app you can:

• Delete any poll you created, which also removes the votes and comments on it.
• Delete any comment or reply you posted.
• Take back a vote you have cast.
• Remove your likes and your saved polls.
• Replace your profile photo, and edit or clear your bio and profile details.
• Turn off push notifications, which removes the notification token stored for that device.

If you would like us to delete specific data that you cannot remove yourself, email support@forthepeopoll.com from the address on your account and describe what you would like removed. We verify that the request comes from the account owner before acting on it, and we aim to respond within 30 days.

4. What We Delete

Deleting your account removes the following from our active systems:

• Your account and sign-in credentials, including your email address and any linked Google or Apple sign-in.
• Your profile: name, username, bio, date of birth, gender, country, and profile photo.
• Polls you created, together with the votes, comments, likes and saves that other people left on them.
• Your votes, comments, replies, likes, saved polls, and your follower and following relationships.
• Reports you submitted and your blocked-users list.
• Push notification tokens registered to your devices.

5. What May Be Retained

• Aggregated, anonymised results that have already been incorporated into poll insights. These contain no personal identifiers and cannot be de-aggregated.
• Limited information we are required to keep by law, for the period the law requires.
• Residual copies in encrypted backups, which are overwritten on a rolling schedule.
• Crash diagnostics, which are not linked to your account or identity.
