Child Safety Standards
Peopoll Inc. · Peopoll mobile app · Last updated August 15, 2026
1. Our Position
Peopoll has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This content is prohibited on Peopoll without exception, and we act on every report we receive.
These standards apply to everything on the Service: polls, poll options, comments, replies, usernames, profile names, biographies, and profile photos.
2. Peopoll Is Not for Children
Peopoll requires all users to be 16 years of age or older. Date of birth is collected during sign-up and the age requirement is enforced at three separate layers:
- Validation in the app before an account is submitted.
- A database-level check when the account is created.
- A server-side check at profile completion, including for users signing in with Google or Apple.
Sign-ups that do not meet the age requirement are rejected and no account is stored. Peopoll is not directed to children, is not enrolled in family or child-focused programmes, and is rated for users aged 16 and over.
3. How the Product Limits Risk
Several deliberate product decisions reduce the surfaces where CSAE can occur:
- There is no private messaging. Peopoll has no direct messages, no group chats, and no private conversation feature of any kind. Users cannot contact one another privately through the Service.
- There is no photo or video sharing. Polls and comments are text only. The single image a user can upload is their own profile photo.
- Content is public, not hidden. Polls and comments are visible to other users and can therefore be seen and reported by the community.
- Text is filtered on submission. Poll questions, poll options, comments and biographies pass through a server-side content filter when they are created, and content that fails is rejected.
- Users control contact. Any user can block another user, remove a follower, or make their account private so that new followers require approval.
4. Reporting Child Safety Concerns in the App
Every content surface in Peopoll can be reported from inside the app, and reports can be submitted by any signed-in user:
- Polls: open the menu on any poll and choose Report.
- Comments and replies: open the menu on any comment and choose Report.
- Users: open a profile and choose Report.
Child safety concerns can also be reported directly to us at any time, including by people who do not use Peopoll, by emailing support@forthepeopoll.com. Reports concerning child safety are treated as urgent and take priority over all other moderation work.
5. How We Respond
- All reports are surfaced to our moderation team, which can remove content and suspend or ban the accounts responsible.
- Content that violates these standards is removed, and the account that published it is banned.
- Where we identify apparent child sexual abuse material, we preserve the relevant records as required by law and report it to the appropriate regional and national authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable.
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests made through lawful process.
